Facebook Drops Official Support For Java
It looks like Facebook is dropping it’s official support of Java on the Facebook platform. This is particularly interesting considering my guest post on InsideFacebook last week, where I explored what language and hosting solutions developers should use (Java, PHP, and Ruby saw the most support).
Java has traditionally been the bastion of the enterprise, with many of the new 2-3 person web startups opting for a free LAMP setup until they prove their product.
