Meet The OpenThread Speakers
We’re excited about this Friday’s OpenThread event, which will feature speakers and developers from the OpenSocial community. We’ve got over 100 people RSVP’d, with the option of expanding the space for more attendees. The event will take place at 5:00pm this Friday at Pier 38 in San Francisco. RSVP here.

Lane LiaBraaten - Lane is a Developer Programs Engineer at Google. He works closely with the OpenSocial developer community to improve the platform. Lane holds a Bachelor’s from Virginia Polytechnic and a Masters from Carnegie Mellon University.
Paul Lindner - Paul Lindner is the Architect of the hi5 Platform, a pioneering OpenSocial Container. Since its inception, Paul has been an active contributor and advocate in advancing the OpenSocial specification and objectives.
He has spent the last 20+ years leading efforts to make the Internet a better place. Some of Paul’s past successes include: developing and promoting the Internet Gopher in the early ‘90s; co-authoring the mod_perl Developer’s Cookbook ; scaling Six Apart’s Typepad to support millions of users worldwide; and building large, mission-critical Web systems for the International Telecommunications Union, Red Hat, Critical Path and The UN Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
He holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Minnesota.
David King - David is one of the founders of the wildly popular “Lil Green Patch” Facebook application. Lil Greeen Patch lets friends give plants and tend gardens with the goal of donating their earnings to saving the real rain forest. David left Google in 2007 to pursue Lil Green patch with his business partner Asish Dixit.
Kenneth Walton - Kenneth is one of the founders of Klick Nation. Klick Nation has a large portfolio of social applications, however they are best known for launching one of the most popular application on Hi5, called “Kiss!”. It’s success was part of the reason the Hi5 platform experienced frequent outages in the first few days after launch. The application now has over 3 million singles.
