Twitter Gets Its First Ad, For Free

As if it’s not enough to have every major news outlet promoting your product. Now Twitter’s been bundled into a new Sprint commercial.

Instead of having the head of Sprint talk about how great the company is by showing cultural shots of wonderful New York City (when headquarters are actually in KANSAS CITY), the commercial engages audience members and gives them a reason to keep watching and listen to what the company can offer. As far as the free commercial for Twitter goes, I don't believe there was any real benefit focus on the Site and therefore, was simply featured rather than promoted in the spot. As far as being on top of knowing social media and technology, I would say that Sprint seems to have a good grasp on things and if advertising continues in this direction, the company should see a substantial spark in interest.

This is creative and contains very interesting facts that keep viewers engaged. This is one of the first Sprint commercials that has been decent and relays an actual message to consumers.
